Fun Times
Went to the zoo on Friday. It was a good day.
There isn't really much that can be said about the zoo. Saw some animals, hung out with some mates, hung out with some animals (ducks, pukeko, and seagulls) learnt that we couldn't see the tigers because they were out the back having sex, and generally had a good time.
You can read more about it here.
Then after the zoo I had an interesting shift at work - interesting because I was supposed to finish at 10.30pm, but the other manager who was on that night couldn't be there, as she had been arrested. So I had to close and was there until 1.30am.
Yesterday was a mate's 21st, which meant an awesome drive out to Waitakere (and back).
Then today I opened at work, and had what was possibly the most insane shift I have ever worked in just over 3 years at the movies (definitely the most insane since I started at Hoyts).
Basically the schedule was completely wrong for one of the cinemas. What projection was going to play was different to what we were selling tickets for. Fortunately we managed to sort it out pretty quickly and the only customers who noticed were the two who bought tickets for a movie that no longer existed. But that was ok, they got to see another one for free. It certainly made my shift interesting. We've worked out that the only times things really go wrong are on Sunday day shifts, and generally only when me or Mark are on. It certainly gives you good practice at fixing serious problems on the fly without letting the customers realise that something's wrong!
So now tonight is a night of kicking back and doing absolutely nothing. At the moment it's great, but I think I'm going to get pretty bored soon.
I discovered Heroes tonight. I managed to acquire the pilot episode and I got hooked pretty quickly. Liam's bringing around the box set soon so I think tonight might be a "get hooked on Heroes" night.
And now, it's time for dinner :D
Starting to count down to uni starting again . . .
