Plans And Things

On another note, Limewire is randomly working today. Weird.

Helen: Thanks :) you too.

Henry: What's network address translation? I've never heard of it.

Raymond: Because at the moment I feel like my Arts degree is like a bad appendix - unnecessary and inflamed. (The inflammation is the amount of time I'll be spending at uni to complete it).

If I do drop it (which is looking very, very likely), I will be planning to finish it later on - maybe in a decade or two.

My hairdresser was telling me about a friend of hers who joined the airforce, did 20 years of service or something, then retired in her late 30s! With full pension and everything! She then went on and became an accountant and now has her own small accountancy firm. She has her income from that on top of her pension!

I was thinking if I got into the airforce and managed to retire early like that, I'd probably go back and finish my Arts degree after that. Then I might move on and become something else, or I might just retire at 40 :)

There's a lot of really bad-taste jokes going around about the All Blacks at the moment. Some of them are offensive even to those of us who didn't care about the outcome of the World Cup. The best one (or perhaps the least worst one) I've heard goes like this:

What's the difference between the All Blacks and a tea-bag?

A tea-bag stays in the cup longer.
